Xiaomi Mi 6 vs Samsung Galaxy S8 vs OnePlus 3T

Xiaomi has unveiled its latest Mi 6 smartphone in China at around the same time when Samsung has announced the Galaxy S8 flagship in India. The two smartphones might be catering to two different price segments, but under the hood, both are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. Of course, the Samsung Galaxy S8 model launched in India sports the Samsung Exynos 8895 SoC with a performance that is comparable to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 source. Both SoCs are based on the 10nm fabrication process, and both also offer Gigabit LTE speeds.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 smartphone packs a lot of improvements over its predecessor, the Mi 5. The device is all new design, latest Snapdragon processor, dual camera, improved under glass fingerprint scanner, and improved battery performance is a few highlights of the Mi 6. Samsung Galaxy S8, on the other hand, is a premium device with features which won’t be easy to find on many other smartphones. Of course, looking at the Mi 6’s price, we will need to compare it to the OnePlus 3T. The latest OnePlus flagship is the current performance titleholder in the sub-Rs. 30,000 range and the Mi 6 looks set to overthrow it very soon.

Xiaomi Mi 6 comes with an Octa-core (4×2.45 GHz Kryo & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo) with chipset Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 processor with 6GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Octa-core (4×2.3 GHz & 4×1.7 GHz) with chipset Exynos 8895 Octa processor with 4GB of RAM and OnePlus 3T Quad-core (2×2.35 GHz Kryo & 2×1.6 GHz Kryo) with chipset Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 821 processor with 6GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with a 5.8-inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2960 pixels at a PPI of 570 pixels per inch. the device Corning Gorilla Glass 5 display protection. The OnePlus 3T 5.5-inches Optic AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels at a PPI of 401 pixels per inch and smartphone Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.

Operating System & Battery:-

Xiaomi Mi 6 and Samsung Galaxy S8 runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) operating system and powered by a Non-removable Li-Po 3350 mAh (Xiaomi Mi 6) and Non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh (Galaxy S8) battery. The OnePlus 3T device runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow), upgradable to 7.1.1 (Nougat) operating system and powered by a Non-removable Li-Ion 3400 mAh battery.

Price:-

The Mi 6 has been currently launched in the company is homeland – China. Its pricing starts at CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs. 23,500) for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant and goes till CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 28,000) for the Ceramic variant.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 has been priced in India at Rs. 57,900 which is the MOP of the product. There are no variants of the Galaxy S8 at the moment.

Coming to the OnePlus 3T, it has been priced at Rs. 29,999 for the 64GB internal storage model, and Rs. 34,999 for the 128GB storage model, making it the most expensive OnePlus device yet.
