Sachin Tendulkar, Smartron to Launch t.phone Smartphone in India Today

Smartron company is all set to launch it’s exclusive Sachin Tendulkar branded device, t.phone, at a New Delhi event that is scheduled to start at 11:30 am IST on Wednesday. The launch event will see cricketing legend Sanchin Tendulkar unveiling the t.phone.

Smartron India is a young company, and till date has two products in its stable – the t.phone and the Smartron t.book laptop-tablet hybrid. Its first product was the t.book hybrid computing headset, which was launched back in March last year at Rs. 39,999. The smartphone was launched at Rs. 22,999 in May last year. The t.phone will be the second device from Smartron India brand.

Smartron t.phone smartphone comes with a 5.50-inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels at a PPI of 401 pixels per inch. The smartphone powered by 1.6GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The device packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128 via a MicroSD card. The Smartron t.phone packs a 13 MP Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama primary camera and 4 MP front camera for selfies.

The t.phone runs Android v6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and powered by a 3000 mAh non-removable battery. The t.phone is a dual SIM device that accepts Micro-SIM. The device connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, FM, 3G and 4G with support for band 40 used by some LTE networks in India. The device Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope, and Barometer.
