Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro Gets a Price Cut, Now Available in India at 31,900

Samsung Company Launched the Galaxy C9 Pro with 6GB RAM in India at Rs. 36,900. To recall, the headset was initially launched for China in Oct. last year and runs Android 6.0 out of the box. The Galaxy C9 Pro price in India has been slashed and customers can purchase the device at Rs. 31,900 from Samsung’s own online store from Flipkart in India.

While the South Korean Samsung company did not make an announcement on the price cut for the country, it has quietly shed Rs. 5,000 off from the official price for Galaxy C9 Pro from its official online store. Further, as we mentioned earlier, the device is already available via Flipkart as well at the new price.

Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro smartphone comes with a 6.00-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors display with a resolution of 1080 pixels x 1920 pixels. The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro price in India starts from Rs. 31,900.

The Galaxy C9 Pro is powered by Octa-core (4×1.95 GHz Cortex-A72 & 4×1.4 GHz Cortex-A53) processor and it comes with 6GB of RAM. The smartphone packs 64GB of internal storage (ROM) that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro packs a 16 MP, f/1.9, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash primary camera on the rear and a 16 MP front shooter for selfies. The smartphone camera features Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR.

The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro runs Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) and is powered by a Non-removable 4000 mAh battery. The dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. The Galaxy C9 Pro connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG and 4G with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India. The smartphone includes Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.

Micromax Yu company on Thursday launched the Yu Yureka Black device at Rs. 8,999. The device is essentially a reboot of the Yureka that was launched back in 2014. The new version comes with an all new Black color variant with some updated specs and given its budget price tag, we compare the headset with the Xiaomi Redmi 4, Moto G5, and Coolpad Note 5 Lite, which fall under the price segment. Notably, the Moto G5 phone is significantly more expensive but has very similar specifications.

The Yu Yureka Black smartphone features an all-metal build and features a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors display with 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The Yureka Black is powered by an Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53, Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 processors coupled with 4GB of RAM. In comparison, the Motorola Moto G5 sports a similar 5-inch full-HD IPS display with 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels, while the Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Coolpad Note 5 Lite smartphones, both offer a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors display with 720 pixels by 1280 pixels.

While the Yu Yureka Black smartphone only offers a single RAM option of 4GB, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes in three RAM options of 2/3/4GB, while the Motorola Moto G5 and Coolpad Note 5 Lite phone are offered with 3GB of RAM.

The Motorola Moto G5 is also similar to the Yu Yureka Black device with a 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 gets a marginally better 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC, while the Coolpad Note 5 Lite is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735CP SoC.

Coming to the smartphone camera specifications, the Yu Yureka Black sports a 13 MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and an 8 MP front camera with flash similar to the Coolpad Note 5 Lite. In comparison, the Motorola Moto G5 and Redmi 4 also get a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, but they offer only 5 MP front-facing cameras.

When it comes to battery, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 offers the biggest at 4100mAh, while the Yu Yureka Black, Motorola Moto G5, and Coolpad Note 5 Lite pack 3000mAh, 2800mAh, and 2500mAh batteries, respectively.

The Yureka Black and Redmi 4 smartphone run on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), the Coolpad Note 5 Lite was launched running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Cool UI 6.0, while the Motorola Moto G5 is the only one among them to run Android 7.0 (Nougat) out-of-the-box.

Given the specifications of the device, the Redmi 4 is priced the cheapest at Rs. 6,999, while the Coolpad Note 5 Lite was launched for Rs. 8,199, the Yureka Black at Rs. 8,999 and the Moto G5 is the highest at Rs. 11,999. The Redmi 4 is pricing has proved successful so far as it recently registered a milestone, selling 250,000 units in eight minutes in its first sale.

However, the Yureka Black, Moto G5, and Coolpad Note 5 Lite offer a more premium design with metal casings that Xiaomi Redmi 4 does not offer. So if you are looking for a budget device with a premium design, you should consider these smartphones. But if one is looking purely at a price point given the specifications, then the Xiaomi Redmi 4 looks like a clear winner here.
