Xiaomi company is reportedly planning to launch the successor to its Mi Max headset in May this year. As per the leaked information, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will feature Octa-core processor and pack 6GB of RAM. Interestingly, the Xiaomi company was recently tipped to be working on another device powered by Octa-core, Snapdragon 660 processor, which was speculated to be Redmi Pro 2.
The new device, dubbed Mi Max 2, will feature a 6.44-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors display, will be powered by Octa-core (4×2.2 GHz & 4×1.9 GHz), Qualcomm MSM8956 Plus Snapdragon 660 processor. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 successor has been tipped to pack 4/6GB of RAM and come with 64/128GB internal storage (ROM). The headset is further expected to house a massive 5000mAh non-removable battery with support for fast charge.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 packs 16 MP, f/2.0, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash primary camera and 5 MP front camera. The device camera features Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) OS.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) device that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. The headset connectivity options include WLAN (Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/AC, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, hotspot), GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, Headphones, 3G and 4G with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India. Sensors on the device include Fingerprint (rear-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass.
